Keeping in mind the regulations that are still in place to counteract the spread of COVID-19 I have put in place some measures so that we can operate our program in the safest manner possible.
I realize that there may be some contact between Riders and Instructors, however that will be kept to the absolute minimum. All Instructors, Riders, volunteers and any spectators will be asked to stay home if they are feeling at all unwell, this can include fever, cough, sore throat, headache or any general feeling of malaise.
Volunteers and Instructors will be required to wear face masks at all times. I have arranged for reusable face masks to be supplied and will take them home at the end of each day and sanitize them properly for use at our next ride.
Hand sanitizer will be provided and required for all volunteers, riders and instructors. Gloves will also be provided but sanitizer will be required to be used on top of the gloves to prevent any cross contamination.
Reins, saddles, halters etc. will be sprayed or wiped down regularly, and each horse will be assigned one volunteer per day (when possible).
Grooming tools will be sanitized between uses and door handles and touchpoints will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.
All riders will provide their own personal helmets.
There may be other regulations that come into effect and I will alter these measures to comply with anything that may come up.
I hope that these measures will be temporary, and that we can resume our normal operations sooner rather than later.
I look forward to seeing everyone and hope you are all staying safe and happy.
